They did have a small award ceremony to recognize students that did particularly wel in math and language, she recieved 2 awards. But I really feel for her classmates, they're having a party tomorrow in class and I can't bring any special food for them because they already have so much from other parents that the teacher took the list down because the kids won't be able to eat it all. But, I want to make them something that they can take home. Something to make them feel special about completing kindergarten.

  1. Here's a nifty idea: take either sculpy clay and mold it into round discs (one for each kid) or take some paper cups and pour a small amount of plaster of paris into each.  Cook the clay or let the plaster dry (whichever you feel like choosing) and when they're done, go get some magnets and put on on the back of each disc.  Then, grab some thick ribbons and put two on the back with hot glue.  It should start looking like a medal of honor or something like that now.  Next, write something like "Kindergarten Graduate" or something similar on the front.  If you want to get really creative and if you have time, see if the parents have a small spare picture of their child and cut it out to fit on the medal.  It'll look really cute, and they can hang it on their refridgerator until the go off to first grade!
