Sadness: Good vs. Evil?

If you ask the right person, they will tell you that there is something pleasurable about being sad. Not all the time but in certain moments. Sad music can be very soothing at times. Is sadness good, or is it a spawn of the devil!? Please try and explain.

Depending on how you apply or put it to practice, sadness can be good or evil  and is a quality that is meant to give harmony and balance to emotion of joy. Imagine a world where it is always joyous and full of bliss? utopia, id'say which is just an ideal. Sadness is evil if the outcome is negative(fear, envy, self-pity etc). On the other hand, is good, if the outcome brings out the love and kindness in you.

Sadness can be good but at the same time not so good.  There are moments where life can be sad, but it does not necessarily mean that it is the spawn of the devil.  It is okay to mourn and shed tears sometimes.  It is not okay to be sad all the time which can create depression because breathing daily should be happy.  Being sad gives you the power to lift up and appreciate life, which brings happiness!

As U generalized, I'd say that sadness is just like happiness can't be classified as GOOD or BAD. Both R found in every day life. They both excite the body, & that is why some Dr. advice not to get excited. SHOWING sadness & happiness is mechanism to maintain tranquility.

OTOH, in God-humans relation, SADNESS is good when wrong doing takes place. And it bad and it is a spawn of the devil  If it leads me to question God or think of him differently of what he really is .

Good sadness can be considered a form of morning. There is always mourning period after a loss and before a new change which is good. Soothing sad music would be a moment we can get to reminisce the adventure.

An evil sadness is the kind you feel when you have been traumatized or feel helpless expecially when you feel it for others and feel helpless in being able to help them. That, to me, is the saddest kinda sad.
