the mega event.
Despite losing their previous ODI series against Sri Lanka, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755’s vice-captain is optimistic about his team’s chances against the Kangaroos. The all-rounder dismisses the impression that the Men in Green will be under psychological
pressure because of their track record against Australia.
"We always believe in performing well in every series. The history (not beating Australia since 2002) is also on your mind but we are not bothered about it and start with an aim of doing well," the vice-captain expressed.
Over the last 24 months, Pakistan’s spinners have been brilliant in international cricket, playing a huge role in the team’s success in all formats. Ajmal is among the top bowlers in all three versions, with Afridi doing well in limited-over
cricket. In the series against Australia, they will be supported by part-timers like Mohammad Hafeez and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Shoaib-Malik-c90088, who also have impressive records with the ball in hand.
Hafeez has full faith on Ajmal and Afridi, believing that the duo will turn out to be the difference between the two teams on slow and low tracks.
He added, "Our spinners got some success here against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 with Ajmal, being one of the best in the world, and Afridi, so we have got good spinners for the conditions and hopefully they do well again."
