Anwar’s highest score in a Test match was 188 not out, made against India at Kolkata in 1999. Anwar was dismissed for a duck in the first innings, but his unbeaten 188 earned him joint man of the match honours (with India’s Javagal Srinath), and assisted his side to a 46-run victory.
