Safari keeps logging me out of certain sites like Facebook?

When I use Safari on my Macbook Pro 10.4.11, it keeps logging me out of sites like Facebook. I log in and then I use it for about 30 seconds and it logs me out. This doesn't happen when I use firefox (but I prefer safari, which is why I want it to work). This happened when I used my laptop at home, AND now that I'm at school.

Any idea how to fix this?
