Safari????????????????

Question

i just downloaded safari onto my computer and as soon as i start typing on the search bar it closes. help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it is pretty anoying.

I just downloaded Safari too - the first time I've ever used it - and the search bar works fine for me. I assume you're talking about the search bar, not the actual address bar?

What do you have your default search settings as? Mine is Google - I'm not sure, maybe you have an invalid search engine as your default search provider?

You could also try resetting the toolbars. Go into 'View', then 'Customize Toolbar' and try dragging the default set, or perhaps remove the search bar and then re-add it.

Failing that, I would just uninstall Safari and then do a reinstall, as it sounds like it could possibly be a software glitch.

problems with safari for windows are known. your not the only one. maybe that is a comforting thought.
