I've never had a forreal health class that discussed safer s*x, and I'm a sophomore in high school. My boyfriend and i are very sexually active. I just want to know if I'm being safe. He always wears and condom and he always "pulls out". I'm not on birth control yet..(I'm petrified to ask my mom recently she asked if i was having s*x i said no but she didn't say it like she was mad but I'm still hella scared to ask i don't want her to think I'm a hoe or whatever). My boyfriend was a virgin until we had s*x and so was i, so are we safe on diseases too?

Ps: what are a good brand of condoms that are strong and DON'T break..?

  1. It sounds like you are doing okay on the safe s*x thing.  Condoms are 99% effective when used correctly.  The most important thing is to make sure that the condom is put onto the p***s correctly.  Using birth control would definitely help with any mistakes in that department.

Just as an FYI you don't have to have a parent's consent to get birth control.  Just head down to your local Planned Parenthood office; they can help you out.

If you were both virgins before you had s*x you shouldn't have any STD's unless you used a dirty needle at some point or had a bad blood transfusion.

Don't worry you are doing okay, just don't use the "pull out" method by itself, as it's not very effective.

  2. every condom has a chance of breaking. trojan broke on me. i would just talk to your mom she may want you to be safer than sorry. if not then go to planned parenthood. pulling out without a condom isnt a guarentee safe way not to get pregnant. there is always precum

  4. All condoms can break. The safest way to not get pregnant is to not have s*x. I think you should be open with your mom. I wasn't very honest with my mom and we had a terrible relationship. Don't let her find out through someone else, it will just make her more mad then if you talk to her.

  5. Well since you both were virgins when you first had s*x then yes you are safe on diseases. There is NO safe condom, don't get me wrong condoms are safe but not 100% safe. You should not lie to your mom, because let me tell you moms know more than you think they do. Let me tell you that "pull out" think don't work, so don't waste your time with that. Just talk to your mom and let her know that you have thought about having s*x and wanted to get on birth control. Its better to talk to your mom now before you end up pregnant and have no choice to tell your mom. A if it come to that, she (mom) will be more upset that you did not come and talk to her about it. So your best bet is to talk to your mom. Don't be scared, it happens to all of us at some point in life.
