Safe disposal of chemical waste?

Please advise on the safest option there is to dispose of unused household cleaning chemical products. What I meant by chemical is the synthetic and toxic type towards the environment. I lived in London, just moved flat and the previous tenant left these products behind and I refuse to use it.

oh that i think you can look around and take that toxic waste to  a commeral waste plant

There must be a local household waste site somewhere near you. You should ask there.

Failing that, ask your refuse collectors what you should do with it.

My science teacher said the only way to get rid of chemicals saftly is to bring it to a local disposal site. Or just burn it beacause thats what the powerplant and the diposal site would do. there is no way to disposite unless you burn it.
