Is it safe to drink another person's pee? This is a 'real' question, as this person drank my pee last night, I couldn't believe it, but anyways is it safe?

  1. well, yes it is sometimes done in severe dry conditions when nothing else can be used. the only problem is it dehydrates you more (like drinking salt water)

  2. Yes....urine is steril when it comes out and can be drank if theres nothing else and you had to to survive...drink it conservativly  if you have no other means of drink   but try to drink it within an hour not more than an hour because it can start growing bacteria.

  3. Yes, it is safe to drink, i have drank some of my bf's urine before lol, he dared me to take a half a gulp, so ya.

  4. according to this website, under certain circumstances it is safe

  5. LOL... how gross. Urine contains abundance of toxic chemicals release your body from the intoxication, thus, it is extremely unhealthy to drink urine under any circumstances.

  6. It's safe. Urine is sterile, and actually has health benefits. Some minerals slip through, and chemicals released in urine are helpful to the body in ways.

  7. Urine is mostly water, and relatively sterile. But this does not mean it qualifies for the recommended 6 - 8 daily glasses of H2O, and here's why: in addition to the water content, urine contains trace elements of hundreds of other things —from undigested alcohol to nitrogen and potassium, and sodium, which makes it such a salty drink. (By the way, the first pee in the morning is more concentrated; and the more water you drink, the more diluted it will be.) Urine could — in rare cases — also have some toxic substances in it, such as lead or arsenic. It can also contain trace amounts of drugs that the urinating person has recently ingested, though probably not enough to actually give the sipper any high or show up on a drug test.

"Water sports" or "golden showers" are sexual behaviors in which someone urinates on his or her partner's skin or body in the shower, in bed, at the beach, etc. This is generally harmless, as long as the pee doesn't get into any o*****e or wound. If someone does end up urinating in your mouth (or you drink your own urine), s/he could conceivably transmit an infection. Passing on a urinary tract infection (UTI) could complicate matters. Hepatitis B, chlamydia, and gonorrhea could be present in the urine and could theoretically be transmitted to the drinker, causing infection.

People who have an autoimmune disorder (including HIV/AIDS), kidney problems, high blood pressure, diabetes, or other major medical problems need to shy away from drinking or swallowing urine because of the possibilities for infection.

Now that all of that has been said, back to your original concern, which was tasting or drinking your own urine. Assuming that you know you're free of infections and any major medical problems, then there aren't many harmful side effects to your health that should concern you.

  8. Yes, it's safe... Not to sure I'd drink it myself~~

Urine therapy refers to one of several uses of urine to prevent or cure sickness, to enhance beauty, or to cleanse one's bowels. Most devotees drink the midstream of their morning urine. Some prefer it straight and steaming hot; others mix it with juice or serve it over fruit. Some prefer a couple of urine drops mixed with a tablespoon of water applied sublingually several times a day. Some wash themselves in their own golden fluid to improve their skin quality. Many modern Japanese women are said to engage in urine bathing. The truly daring use their own urine as an e***a. Urine is not quite the breakfast of champions, but it is the elixir of choice of a number of holy men in India where drinking urine has been practiced for thousands of years. The drink is also the preferred pick-me-up for a growing number of naturopaths and other advocates of  "nature cures."  The main attractions of this ultimate home brew are its cost, availability and portability. It is much cheaper than that other "water of life," whiskey (uisge beatha), which also has been hailed for its medicinal qualities. Unlike whiskey, however, urine is always available, everyone carries a supply at all times, and, for most people, there are no intoxicating side effects. Furthermore, the urge to overindulge is almost absent when drinking urine.  The same can't be said for good single malt such as Highland Park or a good whiskey such as Black Bush.

  9. A water-sport fetish I see. There's nothing wrong with that, it's actually quite common.

There's no shame in fetishes :)

But the answer to your question... Urine is very sterile, so yes it is safe to drink.

  10. a very high percentage of UTIs are caused by ecoli and that is in the urine when infected. I say not safe.

  11. Drinking your own great, but another persons could give you hepatitis to say the least.

  12. Okay, urine is sterile, and ingesting it will not cause any problems.  The body will just get rid of it again.  It is, however, good to note that the urethra (passage for urine) can have bacteria in it.  Because of this, it is a good idea to not drink the, um, beginning of the stream.  The chances of getting ill from urine is very, very small.  Even the bacteria isn't likely to make you sick, but it's always good to be safe.

Why is urine okay to drink fresh, but sewage is bad?  Bacteria grows in urine if it sits.  So don't store some in a bottle and let someone drink it later!

  13. It's fine if you just like down a shot of pee once or twice on a dare, but seeing as the purpose of peeing is to get rid of the toxins in the body, meaning that your pee is full of potentially poisonous substances, no it's not safe to drink IN LARGE AMOUNTS. A little bit like you describe won't do any harm

  14. ROFLMAO AHAHHAHAHAHAHAH ROFL COPTER LOLLY BLADES LOL LAWL HAHAHA ROLLING ON FLOOR LAUGHING GROSS!! EWW D= HAHAHAH

  15. Yes, but that is just DISCUSTING. WHAT THE h**l IS WRONG WITH YOU?/ EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.!!!

  16. N@5Ty.

  17. That is nasty but I have heard of this fetish. Small amounts would not harm you but large amounts of ammonia would, so tell them to drink water in between servings..............

  18. Yes it's safe as long as they don't have any STD's.

Urine is very sterile. People used to use urine to clean their teeth.

  19. Urine is just a part of the waste that your body leaves behind. Yes you can drick urine and its safe, because its just water.

  20. I dont really think its safe to drink other peoples urine. Because they have diffrent germs in such in their body. But if you drank yours it would have been okay.

  21. Um, wow....Pee is sterile, but...ok.

And I think pee is a beverage in Australia.

  22. It's fine to drink urine, as long as you do it in small amounts, and not very often. Urine is extremely sterile, but if you drink too much of it, it can rot your teeth and damage your general oral health. Also, after drinking urine you should wash your mouth out at least a bit, just to help reduce tooth rottage.

  23. As long as its not diseased, yeah.

    *shudders*

  24. No.

  25. hahahahaha..... i hope you didn't eat asparagus or fish beforehand.... pineapple juice, man!

  26. it is safe drink another person's pee if there isn't anything wrong with them but why would you? you would be drinking another person's body waste.

  27. Yes.

  28. Disturbingly gross, but back in the 1800's people used to drink the first pee of the day.... it was supposed to act as a type of mouthwash... so my guess is that it isn't harmful to the body... unless you have an STD... then your friend is in trouble...

  29. The body sterilizes urine and is therefore safe to drink

  30. its not going to kill you,but he probably will get sick

  31. No, it's not safe to drink. Urine contains a lot of chemicals that your body is trying to get rid of, and the last thing you want to do is put it back into your body.

I recall seeing Les Stroud do it on an episode of Survivorman (I think it's the desert episode). If you evaporate the urine and the collect the water, it's safe to drink that way. But to just drink straight p**s, that's not healthy for you and it'll be harmful if you drink too much or for too long.
