Safe to put a blonde dye (bought from a chemist) in my hair?

Question

I was told that it could make my hair go green as i have highlights in my dark blonde hair which may have had bleach in it to lighten my hair.

Would it be safe to put a blonde dye in my hair like Nice n' Easy even though i have had colouring from a hair dressers before for highlights or would it react with the bleach and make my hair turn a funny colour?

If you can't make it to the salon every single month, I admit I do my own roots every once in a while too, with a box- and it is ok to do every once in a while. Box dye is way more harsh on your hair, so it isn't good to use every single time you dye.

It is important that if you are dying your own hair to have the exact color that you need. My hair is really blonde so I do not attempt to use bleach- that could be a severe disaster of hair melting off my head. Also, I have naturally brown hair with gold undertones, so I have to get dye that has ASH in it, and not natural (If you have brown hair natural blonde colors can turn your goldish orange tones).

Finally, whatever you do, just dye your root. Don't put the box dye all over your hair... just get the roots for in between salon visits.

If you still feel unsure consult your beautician- they would know best since the work with your hair.

As long as your hair is not dark it should not turn that funny of a color proably just damage or dry it out. Store bought dye have a very high volume of developer.

My suggestion if you can not go to a professional for $ reasons go to a hair school at least they have a working knowledge(sort of) if not there instructor do.

If you do it anyway thereis a 1-800 # on the back for any emergencies.
