Safe to wash nuva ring?

Question

is it safe to wash a nuva ring if it falls out before putting it back in? I was just wondering if this affects the hormone levels of the nuva ring at all?

you're suppossed to rinse it off in cool water if it falls out

I think the instructions state that if it falls out, you can rinse it in lukewarm water before reinserting.  I don't think you should actually wash it with soap or anything...I just remember reading something about rinsing it with water.

It's ok to rinse it in cool water before your put it back in.
