  1. Ireland is very safe, parts of London can be a bit rough...but you should be fine. I doubt you will be visiting any sketchy areas looking for trouble. I have a few female friends that have traveled throughout the UK and Ireland by themselves or with just another female friend. Don't worry. Just take the normal precautions every woman does in any  city/strange place.

And just for the record, New York is so safe it's downright dull these days. Check the crime stats. Crime has dropped steadily for decades in the US nationally. That is the reality, the rest is media hype.  People who think the US is so very dangerous usually watch too many movies/TV. Crime happens everywhere - just be aware of your surroundings and you will be fine.

Brave girl! Have a wonderful trip :)

  2. It's reasonably safe to travel around Ireland alone, but there are places you should be careful of, particularly late at night. Get a taxi from the pub to your accommodation, for example.

  3. hi you

both are as safe as  over there

  4. jesus

it's safer than the US lol

  5. Parts of London are not more dangerous then the US, as a tourist it's highly unlikely she would stray into the urban areas where most of the teenage boys are competing to knock each other off at the moment.

This link will take you to a travel forum where there a section dedicated to women travellers & also a section about Britiain & Ireland:

If you're travelling alone you should exercise reasonable precautions:

don't wander around areas you don't know well at night or at least know where you can pick up public transport or a taxi,

don't advertise the fact you're travelling alone,

    don't hitchhike,

plan an itinerary & leave with your familiy, 'check in' with them when you reach your destination - quick text or email should do the trick

there's also plenty of places you can check what people say about various hotels & hostels before you go to them

People are used to women travelling alone for business and for leisure in the UK & Ireland, they won't bat an eyelid at a woman on her own.  There are also increasing numers of women travelling alone.

  6. It's safe to travel in the northern European regions.

  7. Parts of London are more dangerous than New York They don't talk about it but it can be very dangerous Ireland should be fine and you well really enjoy those people I've had English people I did not know walk up to me and try and tell me how much they disapprove of America and Mr Bush
