Question:

Safer ski lift for kid in Tahoe?

I'll take my son, 4.5 years old, to Tahoe this weekend. He is not a total first-timer, but not very good at ski either. I'd like to take him on to a lift. But most lifts are too high above ground and too scary. Are there any safer or surface lifts/tows in Tahoe ski resorts?

  1. I haven't been to Tahoe in a while but I think Heavenly had a decent amount of beginner stuff and smaller lifts.

  2. All lifts are safe as they are maintained correctly.

As you don't know to ski very well and the kid is a beginner, i thing you should stay in those beginner runs.

It is really bad to find your self in a run that you can't go.

It will be worst is you have your son with you.

Also on surface tows you must have the kid in front of you (like riding a bike along with a kid) and it is easy to fall even when you are alone. I never liked those tows....

  3. I think he would be fine, as long as you were with him.
