  1. if you stay just outside central london its cheaper.....try to get a hotel near the central tube line great and quick for getting in and around london. try travel lodge hotels or travel inn clean and fairly cheap about £60 per night for a double room en suite. get an oyster card for london transport to use on buses and tubes much cheaper than paying single fares. you can buy them and top them up at tube stations and newsagents shops. look on the london tube map for places on the central line...maybe try gants hill / newbury park area,,,,,,,enjoy your trip!

  2. Cupboard under the stairs...

  3. in a police cell.

  4. It's all safe.

(well, not the 'sink estates' but you won't be staying there, will you)

Just follow normal, reasonable precautions about your keeping your luggage and belongings safe, it's really a very safe city.
