Safety concerning Forklifts?

Where I work one of the stand up forklifts had the strobe light knocked off. Is it required by OSHA in PA to have the strobe light put back on? The lift does have a alarm but only while you are traveling backwards.

  1. yes

  2. If a strobe light had been fitted it MUST be replaced if broken.

  3. I found this for general forklift guidelines from OSHA.

Make every effort to alert workers when a forklift is nearby. Use horns, audible backup alarms, and flashing lights to warn workers and other forklift operators in the area.

Flashing lights are especially important in areas where the ambient noise level is high.
