Safety inspection in MA?

Question

as long as the BULB is there i can pass inspection right? cuz i put big hole in my passenger taillight COVER on my Chrysler this morning. the bulb is fine though.

If the lens is cracked, broken or missing you will not pass the vehicle inspection also that red repair tape is not allowed.

Absolutely all lenses on a vehicle must be 100% in tact to pass an inspection.

It won't matter if the bulb still works....the lens cannot be broken in any way.
