Safety pins safe in laundry?

I accidently washed a brand new top with a safety pin on it that was attached to it. is it safe? i'm more worried about like rust on my clothing and then getting on my skin.

I safety pin all my socks together before washing and drying so they don't get separated. I've never seen a hint of rust.

If you are worried about the pin rusting, just get a new pin.  But it should be okay.

totally fine. just check after the wash. i have done that many times and my shirts were fine. just take it out before you dry it.

It WILL get rusty if you keep washing it and the rust could bleed onto the fabric. this has happened to me with a bag i had, the seam broke so I put it back together using safety pins and the rain rusted it.

So Try not to wash it.

Don't worry too much if you do wash it accidently sometimes.
