My daughter will be in a carseat with 5 point harness until she is mature enough to sit correctly in a booster seat with vehicle seatbelt each and every time.  Probably after age 6.  She will sit in a booster seat until she passes the 5 step test and the adult seatbelt fits her correctly.

  7. 1.  sunscreen -- definitely; family history of cancer

    2.  s*x -- over many age-appropriate conversations starting in toddlerhood, with the mechanics of s*x coming around puberty

    3.  life jacket -- if they were boating or swimming in water over their heads and were not strong swimmers, yes.  otherwise, no.  i do watch them carefully in the water and all my kids are taking swim lessons until they reach lifeguard proficiency.

    4.  tv -- no.  but we do have our (only) tv in a public space of the house, and we do not have cable.

    5.  online -- yes.  but we do have our computer in a public space of the house, the kids know what websites they're allowed to use or ask permission to use others, and we use monitoring software.

    6.  booster seat -- when they reach 4'9", which is the height at which a regular seatbelt will actually keep you safe.  your age really doesn't matter to the laws of physics.

    7.  walk home -- it depends on the distance, the traffic, the neighborhood, the time of day, the kids' age, etc.  But obviously yes, eventually and under the right conditions.

    The appropriate amount.

2.when would you talk tell your child about s*x?

Around the age of 10yrs. My oldest turned 10yrs in March and we told him then. He knew the basics already, but I wanted to clear things up and not make the topic uncomfortable.

3.would u make your child wear a life jacket?

On a boat or something like that, always. If they're swimming, then no.

4.would u have a child lock on your tv?

We have certain channels blocked until a certain hour on our TV. My children don't really watch TV though to begin with.

5.would u let your child go online by theirself?

We created an account on the computer for our older two and they can't get onto any site unless my husband and I type in a password first. Once I've looked over whatever website they want to go on and believe it is OK, then yes, they're allowed to go on by themselves. I don't stand there and watch them play.

6.what age would you stop using a booster seat or child seat?

The rule in my state is 8yrs or 80 pounds, so that's the rule I will follow.
