  1. For those who don't know, Yahoo! instituted a feature called a "sign-in seal" to protect its users against password theft. By setting up a sign-in seal of your choosing, you can instantly identify that the Y! login page you're looking at is authentic. You can read about it here: https://protect.login.yahoo.com/

Now on to the question... Your sign-in seal will only appear on the computer that you originally set it up on. If you use a friend's computer, you will not see YOUR sign-in seal. You will only see the sign-in seal on the sign-in page - it isn't continually displayed.

Here's a section of the FAQs that may also help:

What if I don't see my sign-in seal?

You could be on a fraudulent site, but there might be other reasons why you can't see it. For example, someone else using your computer may have deleted or changed your seal, your cookies or files on your computer may have been deleted, or you're using a partner or international Yahoo! site (like BT Yahoo! or Yahoo! India). To be safe, look for these other clues to make sure you're on a genuine Yahoo! sign-in screen.

My suggestion would be to attempt to set up a new seal then test it by signing out of Yahoo! then signing back in. Keep it simple - use only text for testing. If that works and you're trying to use an uploaded picture or graphic, maybe there's a problem with the picture or graphic.

    Good luck,
