Safina on a mighty come back again.Can she pull this off this time?

She's done it plenty of times this clay season.Against two world no.1s..including Serena and Dementieva.

Seems like Dementieva is facing Safina's ruthless comebacks,YET again.

Can she really do it this time?

Well,no matter what the outcome of this match is, I'm officially ON the Safina bandwagon.

since she's already up 4-0 in the third my answer would be yes. elena seems deflated by the outcome of that second set and i dunno if she herself can a make a comeback at this point. but all credit to dinara. like martina said,the girl has had a never say die attitude ever since she played berlin and i have such a newfound admiration for her because of that.

yeah I missed the match the other day because I had to leave for work and was shocked when I came home and saw the replay. I'm watching now at work online and cannot believe she is coming back from the exact same score in the 2nd set. That is crazy.

I'm here in San Francisco, so the match hasn't been shown yet on ESPN2, but I gotta hand it to Safina, she is THE comeback kid so far this year.  She did it first against Henin in the last match of her career, the next day against Serena, then here in Paris from match point down against Maria, and now Dementieva today.  In all of these matches she was at least a set down, and in the past I have to say she probably wouldn't have pulled through against these top players, but this year is different.  She's quite impressive, and her confidence level must be sky-high right now.  She may just win the whole thing, and make things much more complicated in the rankings.  If she wins, I'm not sure who will be the new #1 on Monday.
