http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bacary-Sagna-c7148 is set to undergo surgery on his leg this week, in order to repair the injury that he suffered against Norwich.
In the Gunners game against Norwich, Sagna went on to go down and later on, it was revealed that he had suffered another leg break.
However, this time around, the team is not waiting on the player and he is set to have surgery on his leg.
"He will have surgery tonight," said manager Arsene Wenger on Thursday.
"It is a straight broken fibula. We expect him to be out for a few months but let's see how surgery goes."
Last time the defender went on to break his leg, he had to sit out for three months, which saw the Gunners struggle in his absence.
However, with the team now set to play out their last game of the season, it is safe to assume that he will have plenty of time to recover and get back to full strength.
At the same time, Wenger admitted that he wasn’t so sure about http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Theo-Walcott-c34873, since he would have to pass a late fitness test, before he would be included in the team for the game against West Brom.
"He will have a test. I don’t know yet if he will be included in the squad or not. It is possible," said the Frenchman.
He then went on to talk about the injuries to his other players, as he went on to add:
"We have little doubts about [Ju Young] Park, [Sebastien] Squillaci and [Andre] http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c32532 but they should all be ready."
Going into their last game of the season, Arsenal really need to go on and pick up all three points from their upcoming game. The team can’t afford any slip up, since even the slighted drop could have some very negative impacts on the team.
At the same time, should Walcott be fit for the game, then the team will be able to go on and deploy their former tactics, which would result in them coming out on top against West Brom and securing the third spot for themselves.
