The Sahara group owned Indian Premier League franchise, Pune Warriors have signed up West Indies all-rounder http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marlon-Nathaniel-Samuels-c74804 for the next two years.
The 31-year-old Jamaican batting all-rounder is one of the players who had originally boycotted the February 4 auction but were given an extended window for trading by the IPL Governing Council. With the signing, he became the first player who has been bought
by the Warriors after initially boycotting the auction. Last date for trading in the extended window is February 29 which is five days from now. All the IPL franchises have to submit their final teams to the Governing Council by the said date.
However, the West Indian will be available for only first half of the lucrative league as the Twenty20 tournament is clashing with West Indies’ international assignments. Windies are scheduled to host http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 in a complete series in March-April which will
be followed by their tour of England in May this year.
Fifth edition the money spinning twenty20 League is set to kick start in Chennai on April 4, 2012 and will clash with West Indies’ Test series against Australia. But Samuels will skip the five-dayers to make himself available for the first half of the IPL

"He has agreed to play for the first ten-odd matches," a Pune Warriors official told ESPNcricinfo on Friday.
The Jamaican all-rounder is currently in Bangladesh representing Duronto Rajshahi franchise in the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 Premier League (BPL). His hard-hitting batting coupled with tidy off-spin has earned him a couple of man of the match awards in the Twenty20 League
over the past two weeks.
Samuels debuted in the international cricket in 2000 with a One Day International against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 compiling 2973 runs at 30.64 and claimed 63 wickets.
He made his T20 International debut against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 at The Oval in June 2007 and has so far featured in 11 T20Is scoring 259 runs at an average of 25.90 besides claiming 4 wickets.
At the domestic level, he has played 42 Twenty20 matches but is yet to debut in India’s lucrative Twenty league.
