The former Borussia Dortmund midfielder has voiced his intention to stay put at Los Blancos despite lack of action.
Real Madrid’s Nuri Sahin has expressed his desire to remain at the Spanish capital in the foreseeable future. The player is adamant in making his mark on the Whites and believes that his future is at the Santiago Bernabeu.
In a recent press conference, the highly talented midfielder voiced his admiration for his current club, claiming that Los Vikingos are the greatest side in the world and he has no intention of leaving.
Sahin was signed by Jose Mourinho’s men prior to the start of the current season’s campaign from German Bundesliga champions, Borussia Dortmund, and was expected to make a very positive impact on the nine-time European Champions.
However, things did not turned out as expected for the Turkish international and injury problems kept him out of action for most of the season, forcing him to make a dismal amount of appearances for Los Merengues throughout this season’s campaign.
Although Sahin was the Bundesliga Player of the Year in the previous season, his role at the Spanish capital was hardly what the player would have hoped for.
Other factors contributing to Sahin’s lack of action at the footballing juggernauts was the presence of players such as Mesut Ozil, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fabio-c13152 Coentrao and Lassana Diarra. With these veterans already on the squad, the Turkish
footballer had great difficulty in breaking into the first-time.
Unfortunately, the youngster still has hardly managed to find a spot in Jose Mourinho’s starting 11.
As a result, there were a number of rumours and speculations that suggested that the midfielder is likely to part ways with Los Blancos.
According to reports, clubs such as Bayern Munich, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan, Manchester United and Galatasaray are all quite keen to acquire the services of the former Dortmund player.
While addressing the press, the 23-year-old quoted:
"I want to stay at the biggest club in the world. I have the desire to succeed here and want to prove my worth at Madrid. I'm living the dream at this club.”
