The Turkish International joined the Merseyside outfit on a season-long loan from Real Madrid this summer.
However, so far, he has failed to make significant impression in the Reds dismal start to the term, which has seen them plummet down to the eighteenth spot in the table.
Earlier, the prolific schemer also spent a difficult spell at Bernabeu, where recurring injuries kept him from first-team action.
His fitness problems also had an adverse affect on his international career, as he has been overlooked time and again by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 manager, Abdullah Avci.
Nonetheless, the 24-year old is now out to prove a point in front of the Crescent-Stars boss.
For that, Sahin feels that he needs to undergo a successful stint at Liverpool, and revealed that his prime aim currently was to cement his place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting line-up.
“First of all, I'll give everything to have a successful season at Liverpool and to play as many games as possible,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“Recently I've experienced how quickly an injury can set you back. And, of course, I want to be in the starting XI for Turkey. That's my main aim and I think I'm close to achieving it.”
Sahin has so far capped 32 international appearances for his country. He scored a goal on his debut against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 in 2005, making him the youngest player ever to score for Turkey.
Although the midfielder is currently not a part of his country’s World Cup Qualifying squad, he was optimistic about winning a place for the 2014 World Cup. To achieve that, he knows he needs to stay clear of injuries.
He added, “I'm confident I'll be on the pitch in Brazil as long as I stay healthy. That's what I'll be focusing on.”
Sahin has been tipped by many to follow the footsteps of former Liverpool play-maker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Xabi-Alonso-c37045, alongside whom he has also played at Madrid.
In fact, the player is believed to have signed for the Reds on Alonso’s advice.
