I need to get a gift for a relative's birthday coming up, and he is very into sailing, so I was thinking of getting a gift tied into that. Suggestions? Under $100 please.

  1. There are all kinds of Nautical gifts out there...clocks that come in the center of a ships wheel, sextons, fancy charts, books about ships, books about sailing, books about know tying......etc etc......happy shopping. You may want to go to the local marina or boat shop.

  2. It is not a sexton (as mentioned above) it is a "sextant"...

And my kids gave me one a few years ago and I love it... matter of fact, I had a coffee table custom made for my boat that had a glass top over a shadow box built it in (just to display the sextant)... here is a link...

  3. A perfect gift for any sailor is a barometer. You can go two ways on this: if he's into classics, there are many beautiful brass barometers inlaid in wood which add a classic feel to any boat or home. Otherwise, you could get him an electronic weather station. If he wants to go sailing, he can have that at his house to predict the conditions for the day. Take a look at some of the gifts in the link below.
