Saina Nehwal is confident to put up sensational show in London Olympics – Badminton news
India’s Saina Nehwal, who is in her prime form at the moment, is confident to put up superb show and earn glory in 2012 London Olympics.
The mega event will kick off at Wembley Arena, which was also used in 2011 World Championships, at London in July, 2012.
The 22-year-old Saina has recently bagged Swiss Open title and is in perfect condition to maintain her impressive form in the upcoming events including Olympics.
In her way to glory in Switzerland last week, Saina overpowered two Chinese shuttlers that gave her confidence and she is determined to continue her remarkable run.
The World Number Five Saina has got elevation at the right time as London Olympics are just three months away. Her current form will definitely work well in her way at the mega event.
Saina said, "I am more than 100 percent confident with three months left for the Olympics. I feel I am peaking at the right time. I have the Indian Open in Delhi and then the Asian Badminton Championship where I want to beat the top players to gain more
confidence."
The Indian shuttler also knows that she has greater responsibility as she is the only shuttler from India who could win a medal at Olympics.
Saina is determined to transform her dream into reality by winning a medal in this mega event.
She said, "I really want to do it. It's my dream too. I am sure I will put in a good performance in London."
Chinese female players are generally considered the best on the planet and there are only a few shuttlers in the whole world who are capable of spoiling the party of Chinese opponents and Saina is one of them.
The Indian shuttler is the most dangerous non-Chinese player as she has the ability to overpower Chinese females with her impressive technical and tactical skills.
The hard working Saina is determined to uphold her striking form in the upcoming tournaments including India Open Super Series, Asian Championships and London Olympics as well.
She is injury free at the moment and is looking forward to shine at Olympic Games to create history for India.
