Saint Thomas has decent claims for £32 Free At 32Red.com Handicap at Wolverhampton
Saint Thomas is certainly a major player in the £32 Free At 32Red.com Handicap, being held at Wolverhampton on Monday, April 30, 2012.
After staying out of action for almost five months, the five-year-old made a winning comeback last month. Grand National Free Bets With FreeBetting.co.uk Handicap saw him sealing the top place by a neck’s distance.
John Mackie’s trainee went for a vocation after displaying a few poor performances last year. In his last two races in 2011, the P. Riley-trained finished 10th on the chart.
Saint Thomas is looking in good sprit following an excellent triumph. Hence, one should not take him lightly today. He does not have much time to complete his preparations, as the show is about to commence.
According to the program, the 1m4f50y event is due to get underway at 19:25 GMT. Nine speedy runners will compete for a purse of £2,264.
Their names are: Edgeworth, Saint Thomas, Dazzling Valentine, Wicked Spirit, Spartan King, Shabak Hom, That´ll Do Nicely, Tropical Bachelor and Mecox Bay.
Edgeworth is another powerful candidate. Although victories seem to have dried up for the six-year-old gelding, his consistent work over the past few months cannot be overlooked.
At the start of this month, David Bridgwater’s trainee did a reasonable job in the AJA Gentleman Amateur Riders' Handicap at Doncaster. The bay gelding missed the crown only by ½ a length.
Despite the fact that Edgeworth needs a lot of luck to break the shackles, it would be unwise to ignore his chances for the top prize.
Dazzling Valentine is also full of confidence following her recent success at Wolverhampton. After finishing second in two consecutive races last month, the four-year-old maintained good standards and sealed an emphatic win
earlier this month.
The 32Red Fillies' Handicap saw her outpacing the 5-2 favourite, One For Joules, by a short head’s distance.
Edgeworth is currently leading the betting card. The David Bridgwater-trained is undoubtedly a talented runner, but our vote goes to Saint Thomas.
Dazzling Valentine is another strong contender, who is capable of springing up a surprise. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
