Sakshi Dhoni loves game, not fame
The World Cup winning Indian Captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, has said that she visits the cricket venues just to enjoy game and has no desire to be prominent in spectators and media.
The Indian cricket’s first lady always avoids media and the fans that are h**l-bent to get autographs.
During yesterday’s game between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Sakshi was approached by some media men but she replied, “I am really sorry, I do not mean to be rude. But, I am not comfortable talking to any
media at the moment.”
Dhoni is leading the Chennai side in the ongoing IPL-4 tournament which started on April 8.
Sakshi has been present in the pavilion during most games of her husband’s team in this tournament, but she has never talked to media or mingled with public.
She keeps her seat at the pavilion and watches the matches silently. She hardly screams and jumps at the thrilling moments of the games.
Sakshi hails from a typical middle-class family of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and is considered to be simple girl. She had been an internee at a hotel in Eden Gardens before marrying Dhoni.
Unlike the wives of other Indian cricketers, she wants to lead an anonymous and simple life.
It is surprising for many Indians that despite being the wife of the most influential cricket personality of India, she does not go for fame.
Sakshi was present in yesterday’s game as well while her personal bodyguard was around her all the day. However, Sakshi could be seen feeling uncomfortable to have the guard with her all the time.
Dhoni and Sakshi’s love story is considered to be the best-kept secret of India. They first met in 2008 at Taj http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bengal-c771. After two years of love affair, they finally got married in July 2010.
It has been learnt that Sakshi loves cricket as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gordon-James-Muchall-c60376 as she loves Dhoni. But she does not want to come in the limelight.
