Sal- Cape Verde Islands. Does anyone know the policy on topless/ nude sunbathing?

It is my our fifteenth wedding anniversay, and we are going soon.

It would just be nice to know.

I was there last year and did not see any topless women. They are a predominantly Catholic country and so topless bathing is not really the done thing. You can easily find a secluded cove though as the Cape Verde islands aren't crowded. If you get a chance do some island hopping...Fogo is awesome with its volcano, Boa Vista with its great beach and Santiago with its mountains. Remember to visit the saltmine in Sal (where it gets its name, Sal is Portuguese for 'salt'). Boas férias!
