  1. Born Muslim and will die Muslim :)

    InshAllah :)

  2. i was born muslima

  3. 2 years ago, i met a guy that was cute, he was muslim. so being interested in him, i asked about his religion and to teach me. i studied it on my own for a year and 4 months and even though i was not part of any religion, i found a closeness to Islam then with any other religion i studied ( i was looking to be closer to god in the past, and no other religion had what i wanted or gave me the feeling of closeness and understanding). after that year and 4 months I went to the mosque and took my shahada oct 13, 2006....so almost 2 years :)

    sorry long story

  4. I was Christian and really wanted to become more religious and I didn't really believe everything Christianity had to offer so I looked into different religions and found that Islam seemed to match my beliefs so I further looked into and I decided I liked it and converted :)

  5. Ahumdulliah I am a revert.

I studied in a Pakistani School most part of my life, but the students and teachers wernt muslims. So none ever tought me what was Islam about. But  always loved the way these muslims were so serious about thier Religon (although only in some parts) so i always had a different feeling about muslims and about Islam in my heart. My class mates used to recite Quran (small chapters) to each other and when i heard that i always had a special feeling in my heart which touched me fom inside.

So, I started to read my own religous book to try to get that same feeling and guess what! I need got that feeling not even for a single moment. Then when once somebody adviced me to accept Islam so that i will be saved from the hellfire, i was so scooked. I was like CAN I ACCPET ISLAM? but i was so shocked and so many questions hit me @ once that i couldnt say anything to that person.

Then I became courios that why will only muslims enter Pradise, why not others? After that i started to research Islam on the internet and i also searched about Christanity. Bcoz it made me question myself that "same person Jesus, Christans say he is a son of God (Naudbillah) and Muslims say that he is a Prophet (a.s) of God. So i read the claims of Christanity and found it made so sence.

Then slowly when my research about Islam countiuned i realise that such a Justic and logical religon which is based on perfect wishdom, can only be from God, and none else. and Prophet Muhammad (saw) who's advises are excatly what man need today and it is for the perfect welfare of man, can be a Prophet (PBUH) of God.

Then Alhumdulliah, again Alhumdulliah i accpeted Islam in Ramdaan 2004. ZajakaAllahhu Khyar, sister for asking such an important question. This shows how much love you have in yoru heart for your deen.

May Allah (swt) guide us all.

  6. I was born into a Muslim, Pakistani family. I was born in England. Still here, lol.

Anyway, so my parents weren't religious. Like, they didn't pray at all. They taught me the prayer, but never told me to pray. Actually, I think my gran taught me the prayer. She used to pray about 3 x a day, maybe 4. She's old and frail.

My parents care more about culture than religion. Forinstance, Pakistani culture says that in weddings, one should pull out all stops and give a tonne of money/household items/clothes in dowry (which, islamically is optional) and when I mentioned that the groom has to give the wife Mahr, they said that nobody does that anymore (even thoug mahr is compulsary)

So I used to have an ustad teach me and my 4 siblings the Qur'an (to read it) so basically, I didn't know what any of it meant. Iwas just reciting parrot fashion.

I knew urdu and punjabi. Urdu, to read, write and speak fluently.

However, arabic, I only knew how to read it.

Anyway, when I was 12, I finished the whole Qur'an (only in arabic remember, I didn't know what it meant!) So my parents took me out of Quran reading classes. That was 4 years ago.

I never read the Qur'an in the past 3 years.

When I was 15, I just started researching on religion on the internet (don't ask how). My parents had ingrained in me that Islam is THE FINAL religion, the BEST, so any criticizm of Islam - I didn;t like it. when my high school taught me Christianity, I didn't agree with it. I believe in Allah.

So Istarted researching religion, ending up on:

    answering-islam

    jihad-watch

    answering-muslims

    prophetofdoom

    religionofpeace

    faithfreedom

and many other anti islamic sites.

Then, I 'found' Doc Zakir Naik, Sheikh Deedat and others. I was happy. I found the above sites to be lies, pretty much. They used the wrong sources and lies mainly. Then I found answeing-christianity, refutingfaithfreedom etc. They use proper sources which is good, as I tend to distrust the internet these days - the anti islamic sites are full of bull.

So, now, after a year of research, reading various things (like hadiths, bahishti zewar, Zakir Naik, medical miracles of the Qur'an and more) I'm 16. I joined an Islamic studies and arabic class. I attend on saturdays, 10 to 1, 3 pound a week. I get to take a GCSE in arabic and Islamic studies at the end of it. They teach the meaning of the Qur'an, arabic (to read, write and speak), they help you memorise the Qur'an off by heart, and Islam (the principles and the prophet's life). I love this class. I've got a really easy to read copy of the Qur'an and am getting through it. It all makes sense. I love Islam. Thank Allah I wasn't misled.

I think everything about Islam makes perfect sense - Shariah etc. It's just people who aren't used to this way of beautiful life, who don't understand. They're used to adultery, smoking, gambling, and don't understand what's good for them.

Oh yeah! I forgot, my parents told me to wear hijab when I was 10, so I did (1/8 of the hair showing. Now I know why I should wear it, so I cover properly, although none of my family does. My family is very strict with the halal food thing. They also are strict with no fornication, and follow all rules of Islam (except the main ones, which is kind of hypocritical) My dad especially, he tends to talk about Islamic science, but doesn't practice Islam at all)

Anyway lastly, I do try my best to pray. I'm gonna get the full set of sahih hadiths from the Manchester bookstore, World of Islam, and I just simply love Islam.

I love the mosques, the vibe, the ramadan, the prayer, everything

I try to pray and try to promote Islam. I tell my Iranian friends (they don't seem to care, but that's their loss)

The sites were worrying, but I found out they were all lies, probably written by bitter people. I now visit youtube, watch videos by scholars, and again, LOVE ISLAM

I'm a revert. From believer (who didn't know anything) to true believer.

  7. I was also born as a muslim

  8. I converted by reading the shahada!!!!!!
