Salacre Blackeye and Slaneyside Bimbo to lock horns in www.betfred.com Stakes
Salacre Blackeye and Slaneyside Bimbo have been rated as joint favourites for the www.betfred.com Stakes at Nottingham in England on Monday, April 16, 2012. The winner of the Grade A4 race will walk away with a cash prize of £108.
A total of six hounds will be seen in action in the 500 metres flat race, which is scheduled to start at 18:28 GMT, and their names are as follows: Salacre Blackeye, Slaneyside Bimbo, Brave Vinnie, Romeo Ranger, Fabulous Stella and Faypoint Boy.
The competition is expected to be quite a tough one between Salacre Blackeye and Slaneyside Bimbo, as both are extremely competitive runners. This is why the bookies have given them equally good odds, but it will be a challenge for the punters to predict
the race winner accurately.
Salacre Blackeye seems to have very good stamina, thus he will make things difficult for his rivals. He is a regular at Nottingham and is expected to use all his experience in order to finish on top of the table.
However, the P. Harnden’s trainee has not been delivering consistent results over the past few months, which means that he is not carrying good momentum at the moment. He finished third in his most recent race despite being joint favourite to win it. He
will need to push extremely hard in order to prevail at Nottingham today.
The white and black dog is the son of Bit Chili out of Say Good Night and was born in June 2010.
On the other hand, Slaneyside Bimbo has the potential to run away with victory comfortably, as she is a quality performer. She has been doing a decent job in different classes and has won a couple of races out of her past five attempts.
The E. Saville’s trained b***h failed to make an impression in her most recent outing though, as she ended up in a disappointing sixth spot. She will need a much stronger effort in order to fight her rivals at Nottingham today.
The joint favourite b***h is the daughter of Hondo Black out of Go To Mammy and was born in July 2010.
Brave Vinnie, trained by G. Gray, will also be the one to watch out for in the race today.
