Salacres Khan to continue his ruthless march in Coral Supports Macmillan Cancer Puppies at Romford
Salacres Khan has been in conquering form at Nottingham and, after sealing three consecutive wins, he is all set to show a cracking performance in Coral Supports Macmillan Cancer Puppies at Romford on Friday, December 21st.
The black dog put his campaign on the winning ways at the end of last month, when taking the top prize comfortably by 7¾ lengths. He carried the momentum forward, and took another marvellous win over 500 metres on December 8th.
P. Harnden’s charge completed his hat-trick earlier this week, winning an A3 meeting by five and a half lengths. He made it look so easy in his previous three encounters that the connections had no hesitation in bringing him up to the top level.
Things are tougher this time, but the son of Farloe Hurricane, out of Mineola Plan, has a very good chance of adding another win to his haul. Among his rivals are: Yahtzee, Forest Trick, Romeo Chill Out, Fermoy Henry, and Kay Gee Bee. The 400 metres race
will be begun at 21:24 GMT. It carries a prize of 175 pounds.
Yahtzee looks the obvious option for betting. The black dog usually wins battle for early supremacy, and stays one step ahead until the wire. J. Reynolds’ trainee got back to the winning ways last time, when seizing the first place by 1¾ lengths. The son
of Cabra Cool is surely one of the major players.
By running a few good races in defeat, Romeo Chill Out gave the impression that he would open account very soon. Today’s event is perhaps not the ideal occasion for him. Kay Gee Bee is not in good form these days. After suffering several defeats on the trot,
the black dog is in no position to make an impact.
Forest Trick is clearly an above-average sort, but has a very poor draw to overcome. The black b***h is standing in the fourth stall, and does not make much appeal. Similarly, Fermoy Henry does not face an easy assignment on debut. Despite his good run in
the trials, it is hard to recommend him.
