Salad King's Hot Thai Noodle Proper Thai Name or Recipe?

Question

I love Salad King's (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) Hot Thai Noodle...does any one know the proper Thai name for it or have the recipe?

The restaurants description is:

Stir Fried Noodles with: Rice noodles, chicken, shrimp, broccoli, carrots, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms & egg

The dish is not Pad Thai, and is not a chilled noodle salad - I also do not think it has peanuts or peanut butter in it. These are the only recipes I've been able to find online, but it's neither of these, which makes me think that "Hot Thai Noodle" isn't it's real name!

If anyone has any recipe ideas, or if you know the real/common Thai name for this dish please let me know! I'm addicted but no longer live close enough to get Salad King!

There are a lot of thai noodle like, Pad kee mao  - noodles stir-fried with Thai basil,  Pad see ew  - noodles stir-fried with see ew dum (thick soy sauce) and nahm plah (fish sauce) and pork or chicken etc...

The result of this recipe is a hot, spicy, thoroughly addictive succulent noodle dish. It might seem like you're adding too much ground chile peppers, but it's meant to be hot, and the chile gives it the distinctive color. This version is both sweet and spicy. To add some depth, you can add a tablespoon of tamarind concentrate to the cup of water. Use any greens you have on hand, we liked the way our version turn out, with bean sprouts and bok choy.

Ingredients

1/4 cup vegetable oil

3-4 cloves garlic, crushed

4 tablespoons sugar

1 1/2 - 2 cups sliced meat of your choice (we used sliced pork tenderloin)

3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce

1 tablespoon ground Thai chile peppers

4 tablespoons fish sauce

1 cup water

1/2 pack of rice stick noodles

2 cups fresh bean sprouts

2 cups bok choy, cut into bite-sized pieces

Method

Soak the rice stick noodle in warm water for about 15 minutes. While the noodles are soaking, heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Add garlic, and saute until aromatic. Add sugar. Keep stirring until dissolved. Add ground chile, fish sauce, sweet soy sauce, and water. Bring to a high simmer, then add meat and cook until done.

Drain the noodles and put them into the wok. Stir-fry until the noodles absorb most of the sauce. Add the vegetables and stir-fry another few minutes or until your vegetables are cooked but still a bit crunchy.

Voila!!!

It Sounds like PAD THAI. Here is a recipe I found for it.

A Pad Thai Worth Making -- A lot of people added 1 Tbs. Tamirand to this recipe.

INGREDIENTS

1 (8 ounce) package dried flat rice noodles

3 tablespoons fish sauce

2 Tbs. fresh lime juice

1 tablespoon white sugar

2 tablespoons oyster sauce

1 1/2 tablespoons Asian chile pepper sauce, divided

1/4 cup chicken stock

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

8 ounces medium shrimp - peeled and deveined

8 ounces skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch cubes

2 eggs, beaten

3 cups bean sprouts

6 green onions, chopped into 1 inch pieces

2 tablespoons chopped unsalted dry-roasted peanuts

  

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1 lime, cut into 8 wedges

2 cups bean sprouts

DIRECTIONS

Fill a large bowl with hot tap water and place the noodles in it to soak for 20 minutes.

In a small bowl, stir together the fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, oyster sauce, 2 teaspoons of the chile sauce and chicken stock. Set aside.

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat and add vegetable oil. When the oil is hot, stir in garlic and cook for about 10 seconds. Add shrimp and chicken; cook, stirring constantly until shrimp is opaque and chicken is cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes.

Move everything in the wok out to the sides and pour the eggs in the center. Cook and stir the eggs until firm. Add the noodles to the wok and pour in the sauce. Cook, stirring constantly, until the noodles are tender. Add a bit more water if needed to finish cooking the noodles. Stir in 3 cups of bean sprouts and green onions. Remove from the heat and garnish with chopped peanuts. Taste for seasoning, adjusting the spice or lime juice if needed.

Serve garnished with fresh cilantro and remaining bean sprouts and lime wedges on the side.

I don't think it's an authentic, traditional Thai dish.  Lots of places invent new, Thai-style dishes that use Thai flavors in their own unique way.  

My suggestion would be to read a bunch of spicy thai noodle stirfry recipes (google them), then start experimenting until you get close to what you are craving.
