  1. This year I'm planning on eating; a mushroom omelet with toast, 2 glasses of orange juice, a cereal/granola bar, and yogurt. Yogurt is supposedly really good for suhur because it doesn't make you thirsty and you don't get hungry that easily.

  2. I don't my wife does. I help her eating it.Very lite like, kabsa, sambosa, mahsi, maqloobah....... lol.

  3. I really have to make nice Sahoor & iftar coz my small kids fast alhamdulillah so I think it's a must on me to encourage them even though they never complain alhamdulillah..

like Arabian sahoor kashmiri sahoor (I'm half & half)

  4. it is said that the prophet (saw) sometimes used to eat a few dates and a sip of water! im might try that... :)

but i would recomend that you eat something light. Many eat a big amount becuase they think they will be less hungary, but this in fact has the opposite effect.

Try eating what you usually eat.... like cornflkases...

but i love having sweet tea with naan/lavash bread with white cheese....tastes sooooooo good! try it...its easy and ur having a drink, carbs and fat/protein

    :)

    jazakha Allah khair

    have a nice ramadan inshallah

  5. fava beans(egyptian fool :P),white cheese and tomatoes, other kinds of cheese,eggs...the usual supper

lol@Nomi...that's too much for suhur :D

  6. Like a breakfast.

Eat bread, which makes you full.

Eat Dates, because they are yummy!

Drink plenty of water, so you don't dehydrate the next day.

Drink Leban (Ayran, yogurt n water drink), tastes amazing!

Drink tea, hot chocolate and/or coffee, so you won't crave for it the next morning.

You could make a salad (no oil is better)

    Eat ice cream... yummm =D

Eat cheese and dairy products, and less from the meats and poultry.

Limit on junk food because they make you real thirsty. So do fatty and salty foods (ie. potatoes)

Good Luck  serving up a delicious meal !! :D

  7. My folks are Pakistani, and my mom wakes up and makes paratha (fried Pakistani flatbread) - it is delicious. We have it with achchaar (They are Pakistani spicy pickles) and sweet yoghurt

OR if I'm lucky, I get Halva, Channa and Puri (Which is another Pakistani breakfast dish)

  8. Some hummus

    some ful

    some falafel

    water

    tea

    eggs

    bread

but my favorite food ever is, zaytoon akhdar, bendora chopped up, and mixed togeather with some zait zeytoon, eat that with some hot pita bread, and a nice cup of chey, and you are all set!

    Good Luck!

  9. it's best to have light food for suhr. i don't make my mom does. she makes dinner and we have the left over fot suhr. i think this way is good. she say's she gets more time for ibada instead of getting up and cooking she gets up heats and spend the night in ibada.
