  1. Hey forget Islam (in this sense),

I would say that it is illegal to bribe our health practitioners just like politicians.  You dont have to look in a Holy Book to know that it is shady.  Sorry no Islamic quotes though.

  2. Its bribery and its disgusting.I'm not Muslim but I beleive often people can be cured with simple changes in diet and routine .These doctors are encouraged to give drugs as a fast and easy fix when in reality many of these drugs cause harmful side effects.I think its very wrong to the point of being wicked. When I had a health problem with my sugar I was given metformin.I later found out with simple diet and exercise this drug was unneccesary.People need to cure themselves naturally.Did you know that there are actually several natural cures for cancer out there that work but the drug companies make so much money on harmful cancer drugs that they have encouraged the FDA to squash these natural cures. They go after doctors who encourage natural healing and strip them of their lincenses. The medical profession is a big money making machine and its run by the drug companies. There is even a rumor that a man created an actual inexspensive cure for cancer and he just disappeared. Some say he was abducted or killed. Dont take bribes. To give samples to poor people is one thing but dont allow yourself to give in to greed and cause your patients more problems by actively pushing any certain drug.If you think its the right thing for them fine but never allow yourself to be swayed one way or the other.

  3. Without these people the world would be in a terrible state because how else can anyone find a better way for proper treatment for whats aliling you.

  4. It's fine for the doctor to accept samples since the doctor can pass these free items along to their patients thus saving them sometimes lots of money.  This is a good thing, and I strongly doubt that Allah would object.  The gifts part isn't so cut and dry, though.  I think it's wrong for doctors to accept such gifts because what it really amounts to is bribery, and I am certain that every religion has teachings against bribery.  I am Christian and do not know enough about the Quran or other Muslim writings/teachings to say much more than this.
