Salamanca, Spain vacation?

I am going to Salamanca in Spain on sunday to do a spanish course. I'm 17 and was wandering if anyone knew about drinking/ clubbing ages over there?

Madrid is the city to go for clubbing! it's amazing. Salamanca is a university city so there are probably a few clubs, but when i went there, i just remember the amazing 5 story Zara, and the cathedral. (really good shopping!)

I think the drinking age might be 16/ they don't really care...

to get into a drinking club you have to be 18, but the straightedge clubs are fun too.

The legal drinking age in Spain is 18.  However, I've seen more underage drinking in Salamanca in bars than I have anywhere else in Spain.  Have fun.

edit:  clubbing is a lot different in spain.  yes, there are big clubs, but there are more bars playing music, called disco pubs.  this is what you are most likely to be in.  the clubs are about 10-15 euros to get in, whilst most disco pubs are free.  it is different here in that the spanish people do not go clubbing as we do, ie get wrecked and go to half a dozen clubs a night.
