  1. Hey. I went to Salamanca, Spain last July. As to what to pack, it depends on how long you are staying. In July, the weather reached 106 degrees in the afternoons, but was very chilly in the mornings. I'm guessing that April will be 70s or so, but be prepared for chilly temperatures too.

The money also depends on how long you will be there. Everything tends to be expensive in Europe, but Salamanca has some really great sales clothing-wise. There are some pretty cool shops like Zoe that you should check out.

Food? Ice cream is everywhere. The one in the center of the Plaza Mayor was my favorite. Avoid jeta (it's chopped up pig's snout :P) I stayed with a family for a month so we had paella every week which was delicious if you like seafood. If you're vegetarian, you can find some things to eat, but the Salamanca cuisine includes tons of meat.

  2. Hi, i love Salamanca! i was there from march to may and by mid april it was starting to warm up and there'd be really hot days (though i think it rained quite a lot then). Eating out is really cheap and tapas bars around the plaza mayor are great. I was at a language school and managed to last on 50 euros a week for living costs and going out (all nightclubs are free entry- but that won't apply to you since you'll be on a school trip!).

Have a fantastic trip, i'm so jealous! :-)
