Salary jobs and holiday pay?

i just started a salary paying job and was wondering if i get paid holidays even though i have not been at the job for the 3 month probation period? my hr lady is out of the office for the week and nobody at work seems to know.

  1. By law you are entitled to at least 4.8 weeks each year.  Your entitlement to it accrues from the day you start work (but you can only take the same proportion as you have worked, so if you want a holiday after 3 months working, you only get 1.2 weeks paid, unless your employer is generous about it).

    If your employer allows more than the legal entitlement, it is up to the employer to say what conditions you have to meet to qualify.
