Since I have been giving them email or sms about the late payment. The next day I had been waiting there were no answers until I gave them a call and noticed that the employer was sick (although sometimes they delay the payments as it because of "they forget"). Do you think "they are considered breaking the law or agreement if they delay the payment as it because I found out the employer was sick"?

  1. This would be a civil matter and you would incur costs to recover your unpaid wages but I think its likely you WILL get your money eventually if you took it through the courts

Best thing to do is get a better employer - this is totally unacceptable!!!

  2. where are you?

in the US pay-day laws vary from state to state however...................

generally an employer being sick does not mitigate in any way their responsibility to pay their employees on the posted and legally mandated pay-day.

if you need a more detailed or accurate answer then you need to edit the question.
