Sale Over favourite for 1st Leg Pick 6 Jackpot
Sale Over is expected to prevail in the 1st Leg Pick 6 Jackpot at Yarmouth in England on Monday, July 23, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will be awarded a cash prize of £36 in the end.
The Grade A5 event is scheduled to start at 19:53 GMT and a total of six quality runners will be battling out for victory over a distance of 462 metres. This will test both the speed and stamina of the participants.
Looking at the recent performances of all hounds, it is clear that no one is a clear favourite to win the race at Yarmouth. Most of them have been struggling for consistency, which will make things difficult for the punters at the end of the day. However,
they have a couple of good options and one of them is Sale Over, who has been priced 11 to 4 by the bookies today.
The black and white dog was victorious in a Grade A5 event just a couple of races ago. He was given a starting price of 7 to 2 back then and was expected to fight for the top three positions. He did a really good job in the end, succeeding by one length.
The A. Kelly-Pilgrim’s trained hound was unable to continue his winning ways, as he finished fourth in his next two races. His performances were not bad in them, but they were certainly not good enough to earn him a top three spot.
Green Heat’s son out of Ballymac Bridie debuted in February last year and gave some average performances at the start of his career. He had to wait until April before bringing up his maiden victory in the sport. He had been given the best odds by the bookmakers
back then and he did not disappoint them at all, winning by three lengths and one quarter.
After earning his maiden victory, Sale Over kept on delivering some good performances. He has raced at Yarmouth throughout his career, which means that he is fully aware of the conditions at this venue.
Compared to his debut season, the young hound has been running better this year, which shows that he has grown in confidence. He will definitely give a tough time to his opponents in the race today.
