Sami came through the ranks of junior cricket in the country and made his Test debut in 2001 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 and grabbed a five-wicket haul in his very first match at the highest stage of the game.
Many cricket analysts around the world predicted Sami to become a world-class bowler since the beginning of his career, as he came up with some brilliant performances. However, his inconsistency came in the way of him living up to his potential. This is
the reason why Sami has not been a permanent member of the Pakistani team since the last four years.
While speaking to Pakpassion, Jaffar said that Sami still has pace and the right-arm fast bowler can still deliver the goods for the country in the coming years.
Jaffar, who has been keenly following the domestic cricket of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755, said that no other pacer in the country can beat sami and in international cricket, a bowler must have speed to succeed.
Former left arm fast bowler said, “Mohammad Sami is the only genuine fast bowler that I have seen and in front of him, the rest seemed very slow to me. When Sami would bowl, you could see a clear difference in pace between him and the others. I feel that
in International cricket you need genuine pace to be a successful pace bowler, regularly touching 140 KPH”.
Jaffar praised the all-round skills of Sami and said that apart from being a genuine fast bowler, Sami has always been a brilliant fielder and recently he has improved his batting as well.
“Well, I have seen very few cricketers who are natural. Sami is one of them – he is a natural bowler. I think he can be considered an all-rounder now. He has scored almost 600 runs this season”, he added.
