Sales and Marketing Jobs in Sydney... What are they like?

Hi All!

Im moving to Sydney from NZ soon and want to get a job straight away. Because Im quite young and don't have too much workplace experience I'll need to find a job quickly to get me started... and I know people are racing for jobs in Sydney so it will be very competitive.

There have been alot of jobs avertised on SEEK lately advertising for Sales and Marketing, Promotions....etc with headings like this...

"NO#1 THIS WEEK ** NO EXPERIENCE REQD!! Marketing and Customer Sales Promotions"

Just wondering if anyone has done this type of employment before or knows what this kind of job involves.....

"Sales and marketing no experience required" sounds like door to door sales or a similar scenario, with low pay and needing commissions for selling a product no one really wants to make any sort of decent income.  Make sure you ask a few questions before committing.
