Sales charts left looking like a Battlefield, a Battlefield 3 that is – United Kingdom Charts
With all of the individual platform sales done with, it is time now to see how every game managed to do on the overall sales charts in the United Kingdom.
There was no doubt that Electronic Arts’ and DICE’s latest modern military first-person shooter would do well in the charts and the title seems to have met expectations by topping every individual platform chart on which it was released.
The Overall Sales Chart in the United Kingdom for the previous week is as follows:
10. Rage: languishing in mid-table on the various sales charts of the individual platforms, Bethesda’s latest take on a post apocalyptic world seems to be nearing the end of its time in the top ten as it hangs on for one final week.
9. Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure: the Xbox 360 exclusive is selling well in its third week in the charts and finally breaks into the top ten of the overall sales charts.
8. Zumba Fitness: reading this name on the sales charts has many hardcore gamers wondering what is wrong in this world, yet the game developed by 505 Games continues to sell in impressive numbers.
7. The Sims 3: Pets: the latest expansion pack to one of this generations best selling games, The Sims 3, the Pets expansion pack allows gamers to keep and play as virtual pets; something that the gaming population in the United Kingdom
seem to have a fancy for.
6. Forza Motorsport 4: boasting some of the best looking graphics on the Xbox 360 as well as some of the fastest, most exotic supercars in the world, it is no wonder that Forza 4 continues to do the business in the sales charts.
5. Just Dance 3: the game that makes you do exactly what the name suggests has gotten a large number of UK gamers off their sofas and moving to the commands of a virtual dancer, as well as earning a fair amount of revenue in the process.
4. Football Manager 2012: seeing a football game in the top five places in the charts in the UK means that the world is rotating on its proper axis and that everything is normal.
3. FIFA 12: while Football Manager 2012 allows players to become a manager for their favourite professional side, FIFA 12 is EA’s solution to every football fan’s virtual footballing need, which is probably why it is selling so well.
2. Batman: Arkham City: the Dark Knight may have enjoyed his time at the top yet it seems that even the caped crusader is no match for the might of the modern military.
1. Battlefield 3: unprecedented destruction, vehicles and jet fighters, intense multiplayer combat and a cool soundtrack; was Battlefield 3 opening at number one ever in any doubt?
