Salman Butt hopeful to find his way back in the squad
The Pakistan Test captain who was in the midst of the spot fixing controversy hopes to make his way back into the side some time soon. The captain was under heavy scrutiny after images and videos appeared on the international media with him and the alleged
bookie Mazhar Majeed. Salman Butt apparently was very close to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 with pictures of him driving the formers Aston Martin.
The spot fixing controversy not only caused immense embarrassment to the national side, but also cast doubts over the team’s past with many people going on to question their integrity in the sport. The captain was provisionally suspended by the ICC however
he is continuing with his stringent training regime to keep himself fit as he hopes to make a comeback in the national side for the series against South Africa in Dubai later this month.
Butt was suspended alongside fellow team mates Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif and it is likely that they will face a ban if indicted in the spot fixing case. These players have appealed against their suspension by the ICC and the hearing will take place
in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Qatar-c2986 on October 30 and 31.
Talking to reporters in Lahore, the disgraced Pakistan captain said, “My cricket career was going well and I was also doing well, these allegations have damaged my career.”
Salman Butt however acknowledged that this has been a great learning experience for him, and he has come out of the entire controversy a much stronger man. He admits that he has now learnt on how to deal with people around him.
He told the reporters that he is following his daily routine of two hours training and he is also practicing to remain fit, since he looks forward to making a comeback with the national side.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 have seemed relatively without many options with the suspension of Salman Butt and the two bowlers Asif and Amir. The team has clearly been suffering. However this does not in any way imply that those involved in corrupt practices must be dealt
with lightly. Strict action should be taken by the board to curb all sorts of corruption that is taking place. Unfortunately the PCB did not do enough and blatantly mismanaged this entire issue that blew it out of proportion. Instead of promising to take action
against any player found involved in the fiasco, the PCB went forward defending them.
This technique cast doubts over the transparency of the institution itself, for many even claimed that there is a possibility of the cricket board being involved. Regardless of the claims, none of the suspended players have been named in the squad for the
series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and it seems unlikely that they will be able to get off the hook any time soon, if the charges against them are proven.
Butt however seems hopeful that he can find his place back into the side.
"I am working hard and doing my bit. The conditions in Lahore and the UAE are the same so I am preparing hard on playing spin," Butt said.
