Salman Butt to be released soon - Cricket News Update
The disgraced former Pakistani captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Zulfiqar-Butt-c77500, confirmed the news channel that his son will be released and deported due to the good
behavior he has shown during the imprisonment. While not confirming the exact date, Butt’s father told media that he is expected to reach Pakistan in three to four days.
Butt was a talented top-order batsman whose career was cut short due to his involvement in the infamous spot-fixing scandal during the 2010 tour of England. The left handed batsman made a promising debut in 2003 at a young age of 18. Soon he made headlines

But the final Lord’s Test was overshadowed by spot-fixing allegations, directly implicating Butt, thus ending his career. The Lahore based player vehemently denied the claims made against him but he was found guilty but a jury at London’s Southwark Crown
court. He was charged of conspiracy to accept corrupt payments and conspiracy to cheat. The 27-year-old was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment in November last year by Judge Justice Cooke, who described him as the "orchestrator of this activity".
