Salman Butt’s lawyer claims International cricket is full of corruption

Talking to the media reporters, Gul said that “corruption is rife in world cricket," and that he has names with him that "will make your hair stand on end".
The 26-year old Pakistan opener, along with two Pakistan pacers, has been suspended by the International Cricket Council under article two of its anti-corruption code for his alleged involvement in spot-fixing
during the fourth and final Test against England at Lord’s in August earlier this year.
The spot-fixing charges against the trio – Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif – were leveled by a British tabloid named News of the World, claiming that the players were bribed by a bookie http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mazhar-c75448 Majeed
for bowling some deliberate no-balls during the Lord’s Test.
The trio will appear before an independent three-member ICC tribunal in a final disciplinary hearing in Doha from January 6th to 11th, next year. And if proven guilty, the players will face

When asked about the biggest form of corruption in the international sport, Gul promptly replied “spot-fixing; it is much easier."
The suspended opener on Tuesday has filed a comprehensive 40-page response to the allegations leveled against him ahead of an ICC tribunal. As his lawyer, Shahid Saeed said in a statement: "Butt on December 13
has filed a detailed, comprehensive and hard-hitting 40-page response to each and every allegation brought by the ICC with regard to spot-fixing levelled against him."
