The Côte d'Ivoire international is looking forward to help Lille find their best form again after returning from an injury
After recovering from an injury that kept him on the sidelines, the 27-year-old is hoping for a quick return to Rudi Garcia’s starting eleven.

The winger added that he wanted to help LOSC but coaches decided against playing
him and taking an unnecessary risk.

"I took time for a good rest this time. I could play despite pain and I wanted to help but I was finally wise and rest was a good idea.”

play well in the upcoming games.

The 27-year-old said that at Chelsea things were different as he wasn’t playing regularly at Stamford Bridge. And playing regularly for his new side will need some adjustments to do.
"At Chelsea I played one match in three, so I needed a big preparation to try and play the whole season here.”
The player added that he needs more time to settle here and his body is not used to all this. However, Kalou has vowed to help Lille achieve their objectives this season and is hoping to stay injury-free for the remainder of the season.
"I have needed time for my body to get used to it. Maybe I paid for it, but now I am reassured for the rest of the campaign."
