The Lille winger is hoping for a positive result on Wednesday, as his side prepares to kick-start their 2012/2013 Champions League campaign

While talking to reporters, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 player emphasized on the importance of getting off to a good start in the Champions League.
The Côte d'Ivoire international has urged his players to raise their game on Wednesday in order to win the match, and feels that the result of that game will set the tone for the remainder of the competition for the French club.
“We will do our best to get the three points tomorrow, it is important to start well in the competition.”
LOSC Lille are favourites to register a win against the Belarusian side at Grand Stade Lille Metropole, but Kalou is remaining realistic. The 27-year-old said that in football anything is possible, and Les Dogues need to be at their best if they want to
get something out of that game.
"We know that we are favourites but it means nothing; it is only on the pitch that things happen but I have confidence. I know we have prepared ourselves well during the week for this game and we have to take this game seriously,"
Salomon Kalou, who won the 2011/2012 Champions League with Chelsea, feels that his experience will benefit Lille in their European campaign, and has urged his teammates to take their opponents seriously
"We have to use all our abilities, we have a lot and the only way for us to be in danger is if we do not take them (BATE) seriously."
