Salomon Kalou to consider his future with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 at the end of season
Chelsea winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salomon-Kalou-c32266 might be considering his future with the Blues at the end of the ongoing 2010-11 season if manager Carlo Ancelotti decides not to play him regularly in the starting line-up.
The 25-year-old charismatic winger admits that it is very difficult for him to cement a place in the Blues line-up which already has the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786. Kalou though insisted that he could prove his worth if he
is given a chance and could even force his way into the side for the misfiring striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707.
“They are all top strikers, but I have to say that if you take the statistics I'm not far from them, I can reach their level, so I have to keep working hard and that's the only way I will get into the team,” Kalou added.
The winger clearly signalled his intentions to the club officials that he would certainly think about leaving the club if he is not presented with enough opportunities. Kalou has just managed to start 11 games in the League so far which is surely not what
the winger would have hoped for when he joined the club in 2006.
“It's been difficult watching from the sidelines these past few weeks,” Kalou said. “If an opportunity doesn't come, that's when you sit down at the end of the season and think about it.”
The current League Champions are fighting for a place in next year’s UEFA Champions League after their title hopes faded away following an inconsistent run of form in the current season.
The Blues are currently fourth in the League table and just one point clear of the fifth placed Tottenham Hotspur while they are 12 points behind leaders Manchester United.
The Ivorian has been very clear in his stance and it could leave Chelsea with a headache especially after the rumours of Didier Drogba leaving the club at the end of the season.
