Although I am a beginner at best (or worst!) I want to check out a diverse Salsa club somewhere in town. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your help

  1. Go to Elvia's on Fondren at Westheimer (SE Quadrant), have dinner, then check out the free dance lessons, then practice all night long.  Really good dancers show up.  Enjoy!  Hot, hot, hot!

  2. Tonight, there is a mixer at the museum of natural science with a live salsa band. They are pretty good... starts around 6-7. There will be a lesson to get people up and dancing, then live music til ten.

Tropicana is great.... for serious dancing... Tuesday, fridays, and saturdays.

Taco Milagro is pretty laid back and fun. thurs to sat

Skybar is pretty intense and crowded, but they do a Thursday night salsa.

Sullivan's is good on Wednesday nights, but they have a pretty snotty crowd.

  3. Club Tropicana was voted the best salsa club in Houston for the last two years.
